Cape Cod Junior Golf Mission:

The CCJGA’s mission is to promote growth by increasing participation in the sport of golf for kids ages 8-18. While the CCJGA conducts numerous competitive tournaments throughout the summer, the organization is geared towards the beginning golfer. Clinics taught by PGA Professionals for beginners are offered as well as rules and etiquette seminars. The CCJGA will continue to dedicate available funds to support college-bound, high school graduates from our Association. Perhaps the most important and lasting lesson taught by participation in the CCJGA is the development of a sense of sportsmanship, an appreciation of fair and honest competition, and an attitude of courtesy and respect for fellow players, tournament officials, club members and spectators.

Mike Serijan

Junior Golf Association Manager

Mike Serijan was named the new Manager of the Cape Cod Junior Golf Association in 2014, taking over from John and Peg Flynn who did an outstanding job running the program for 20 years.

Mike was raised on Cape Cod and is an avid golfer. In the late 90’s and early 2000’s, he worked as the Men’s Golf Coach and Sports Information Director at Division III Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts. He compiled a record of 38-9-2 and guided his 2002 team to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship.

Since moving back to the Cape in 2004, Mike has been involved with the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) and took over as its Executive Director in 2010. The NEIGA is now in its 79th year and is the largest collegiate tournament in the country that has Division I, II and III teams competing with each other. Mike is responsible for running all aspects of the organization including securing the golf course, hotel, banquet facility, and sponsorships as well as running the tournament on site.

Mike lives in Harwich with his wife Cheryl, sons Brandon, Christian and Alec, and dog Lexi.
